  1. Hi

Re your query on the Cambridge Folk Festival blog on 28 May.

As a regular at the festival I would think the festival is fully booked at this stage in terms of main scheduled acts; however the over the weekend five local folk clubs run sessions [two afternoons (Sat and Sun) and three evenings (Fri, Sat and Sun)] in the festival’s smallest marquee, the Club Tent – in addition longer slots by booked up-and-coming acts, anyone attending the festival can sign up to do a normally 15-minute slot. Signing up times are normally indicated in the festival programme and its usually on a first-come-first-served basis. If your planning on coming to the festival this might be an option to get to play to an attentive and appreciative audience. If you’ve never been, I’d highly recommend coming for some or all of the festival… its the one must-do in my calendar every year! great fun, great music, great atmosphere (hopefully the weather holds)!

  2. Malc, Awesome banjo on ‘Rocky Top’ you dark horse. Great band man.

    Pick on Brother!

  3. Thanks Frank – Malc was chuffed with the compliment :-)
